LARGE’ITS Academy Caboto Foundation of Gaeta was born with the aim of contributing to the response to the educational needs not only of shipping, but of the entire economic sector that develops around the sea: from logistics to aquaculture, from tourism to fishing and construction. Consolidated over the years as a national reference point in high-level maritime training and logistics, its students, at the end of their courses, obtain employment, which, given the data, reaches almost 100% of graduates.
Classroom training periods involve alternating with circles work experience are regularly paid according to current parameters, thanks to consolidated partnerships with most
important shipping companies and companies in the field of logistics. Not all courses require a seaman’s license as a prerequisite for entry.
In detail, we list the courses currently available at ITS Academy, for which room and board concessions are provided for each student:
Management of onboard equipment and systems (Engineering Officer Student): aimed at maritime graduates, the course alternates classroom and laboratory training with boarding on merchant ships, with the aim of training the future Engineer Officer.
Operation of the vessel (Deck Officer Trainee): aimed at seafarers, the course alternates classroom and laboratory training with boarding on merchant ships, with the aim of training the future Deck Officer.
Management of passenger services on ships – Hospitality and food management: addressed to all graduates, aims to train professionals for dining and kitchen service on board, customer service and reception on passenger ships. Class, workshop and straps for a fee.
Management of integrated logistics and shipping processes: open to all graduates, aims to train professionals dedicated to logistics and business management. Internship in host companies with high employment absorption capacity.
Management of the pleasure boat (becoming a Skipper): addressed to maritime graduates. A course aimed at naval graduates for the training of specialist personnel in the field of recreation. An opportunity for seafarers to find continuity in work and for shipowners, who will be able to take students on board by entering into an agreement with ITS.
